These business simulations were designed by three different companies with whom The Fairfax Group is affiliated: CELEMI, 3D Learning, and GREAT-company.
Kathy Miller is the president of The Fairfax Group. She has been in the training and consulting business for over 20 years and founded The Fairfax Group 16 years ago. Kathy has worked with numerous major corporations over the years to provide programs related to selling skills, management development, team building, strategic planning, business strategies, and business finance. Her focus is working with various corporations to identify the best solutions (simulations) to implement to address their business challenges. She has also built a cadre of highly qualified consultants and facilitators to work with clients. Kathy has a degree in Business.
Brent Snow lives in New York. For the last 14 years he has specialized in using simulations to help managers be more effective. Brent got involved with the simulation, Tango, at its inception and has conducted more than 300 sessions for almost every type of industry. Brent is not only an excellent facilitator, but he is very knowledgeable on current business strategies, thinking, and trends. He has a Masters in Adult Learning. Brent conducts Tango and Vortex and is a partner in GREAT-company, the designers of Interplay.
Ron Reed is a professor of Accounting at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley who has conducted numerous Apples & Oranges sessions for corporations.
He has a Ph.D. in accounting and is a licensed CPA in Colorado. He has been at UNC for 15 years. Ron has consulted with many different types of businesses to help them better strategize and manage their financial situation. He has a very engaging, enthusiastic facilitation style and tailors the Apples & Oranges sessions for clients to address their specific financial challenges. He lives in Lafayette, Colorado.
Dan Topf has been conducting Tango, Decision Base, and Apples & Oranges for the last four years. Prior to this, Dan was a senior consultant for nine years at the Principal Financial Group. There he was responsible for the company's business simulations and business literacy efforts. Dan was also a speech instructor at Iowa State University. He has designed and taught graduate courses in learning and performance improvement and he is a Certified Performance Technologist. He lives in Ames, Iowa and has a degree in Speech.
Lori Drescher spent 17 years in various training, consulting, and business development roles. Her area of expertise is in instructional design. Lori has designed and facilitated many different types of programs on topics such as e-commerce, creativity, customer loyalty, executive development, strategic planning, and team management. She has also coached executives. Lori is a partner in GREAT-company where she was instrumental in the design of Interplay. She has a degree in Business and lives in upstate New York.
Stu Noble has 20 years of experience in human resources management and development, organizational development, and quality and has a passion for experiential learning. For the last six years he has been designing experiential programs, to include the leadership simulation, Vortex, which he designed with his partners at 3D Learning. Before co-founding 3D Learning, he was a senior OD consultant with Block Petrella Weisbord, Inc. He lives in Pennsylvania and has a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management.
Gery Cummings is the president of Accelerated Learning Systems which he founded 10 years ago. Here he specializes in working with Fortune 500 companies to implement experiential development programs. Gery has years of experience facilitating Apples & Oranges, Tango, and Decision Base. Prior to founding his own company, Gery was a Vice President for an international sales training firm and he was also the manager of sales training for Ingersoll-Rand. Gery has a degree in Marketing and lives in Mississippi.
